Seeking Help & Treatment for teens

Getting help for teens abuse and trauma, can seem very scary or frightful at first but don't worry it isn't bad at all and won't be scary. One of the most important parts of getting help is to get it or else the abuse will never stop.

Holding Hands

Remember everyone is different. This means if you think someone is getting abused then make sure to make them feel comfortable around you. Another thing is how people may need more time to feel comfortable or to understand after the abuse i done that they are safe now, so remember “be flexible” and try to be with the person.

Therapist and Patient

If you are here for a friend or somebody else remember that not everyone may want to openly say they are being abused. So you will have to look for the signs and try to get help for them. Some of the signs are, they may seem more negative and they may have sudden lower self esteem. Another sign is they may try to take their feelings out on others, so if a kid is usually really nice then they suddenly became a jerk that may be a sign of abuse. Although, you have to remember the person being abused may be more open to talking to friends than their parents or a doctor. Remember though some people may stay more hidden than others, so always try to understand what someone may be going through.
